Ceftriaxone is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic. Works by preventing the growth of the cell wall in bacteria, causing death of the bacteria. Active against broad spectrum of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Widely applied in hospitals and clinics to moderate and severe infections.
